Our Mission

Gate to Plate events celebrate and support food and drink producers in the Clarence Valley and the wider Northern Rivers region of NSW. Our events portfolio includes a sparkling array of degustation lunches, food and wine tastings, masterclasses, evening banquets, food trails, art exhibitions, demonstrations and guest speakers in a highly enjoyable, social setting.

“It’s immensely gratifying to support both food and art cultures in our region.”

— rod watters, the gallery foundation

Gate to Plate events also function as fundraisers run by The Gallery Foundation, which since 2005 has supported the growth and vibrancy of the Grafton Regional Gallery, its infrastructure and collection. Organised by a passionate Board, with a professional events team and the valuable input of business sponsors, Gate to Plate events deliver beneficial marketing opportunities for partners, while enabling the Grafton Regional Gallery to realise its cultural, social, educational and economic potential.

If the Romans had made it to the Clarence…

What food would feature in a Roman Banquet set in the Northern Rivers region of NSW?

This is the question we pondered when designing our Regional Masters Expo. Certainly the food and beverages will include exotic and refined elements, spread over many courses and served in small portions to enable diners to enjoy a wide range of flavours and textures during their meal.

Live acoustic music will accompany the evening banquet. Decorative fixtures including wall paintings and sculpture will be available for auction, contributing to a convivial atmosphere for dining, or as the Romans called it: convivium [living, feasting together]. But rest assured, your wine won’t be watered down!

Get Involved

Gate to Plate events are among the most enjoyable social occasions of the year, so it stands to reason people VOLUNTEER their time to support our fundraising activities. We regularly work with educational institutions, community groups and charities, where the donation of labour is exchanged for realising the objectives of each organisation. Many individuals get involved merely for the fun of it and to support the arts.

Event SPONSORSHIP is perhaps the most powerful promotional device known to marketing managers, as it provides opportunities to fully participate in ‘presenting’ the enjoyable and memorable elements of an event. The partnerships we create with our sponsors often include bespoke features that add mutual value to the relationship. If, as a business owner you feel you are connecting with your target audience, chances are, we are too. So get in touch today to discuss your marketing objectives and explore how partnering with Gate to Plate events help you realise them.
